I followed this guide on Windows 7 Home Premium
I have 3 tuners (HDHomeRun Prime), edited the registry for a duration of 5 seconds, and 4 buffers. Used SoftPerfect RAM Disk to make Z: with usable capacity of 478mb. Article says I need 447.5MB. Put the TempRec link in place.
on boot, I had Z: with /TempRec and 478mb free
after starting WMC almost all Z: was used
after selecting LiveTV -- immediate DISK FULL
same result when using 500MB, 1000MB, 2000MB just took a little longer before the DISK FULL
Any ideas ?
/Steven

an update:
using 3 tuners, with the registry edited for 5 second duration and 4 buffers, but using a 2TB disk for Recorded TV and the LiveTV buffers, after watching a while, here are the buffers and creation times from TempRec/TempSBE
12:11pm 522,992,280 510,740kb
12:11pm 522,992,280 510,740kb
12:11pm 522,992,280 510,740kb
12:11pm 522,992,280 510,740kb
01:38am 6,815,733 6,565kb
01:38am 6,815,733 6,565kb
01:38am 6,815,733 6,565kb
01:38am 6,815,733 6,565kb
01:38am 522,997,280 510,740kb
6656/5 = 1331 kb/s is a reasonable data rate for a 720P broadcast. Note: one of the rolling buffers is being allocated at the MAX size. The total buffer size 2,580,332 kb
